I see peeps of Narciso Rodriguez in this, not just in the sort of asymmetric mismatch of fabrics and colours, but in the cut of that first coat, which Rodriguez did a number of seasons ago, and in that very slim, long silhouette of the fifth from last look, which is divine.
It's a nice collection.

each new season I'm trying to find something in their collection that speaks to me, but it's just never really appealing on closer inspection, what a shame...

This is kind of a miss for me...
the geometric designs scream '80s in a bad way
I would have liked to see them take this collection in a different direction... not sure where, but not this.

The collection is good but never close to the essence of Helmut Lang; If the collection was used another name, this could be really good brand to watch.
