i really wish veronique's collections carried that same element of utter sublime as the women's collections always has.

^ I'm a bit disappointed by this collection but I think Véronique has produced great clothes every season and Hermes is one of the best for menswear.

i always like to call Hermes the producer of basics for rich people, but i could NEVER make the connection between Hermes and Zara. unlike Gucci.

Salivating over that crocodile cardigan.
I completely agree with the "basics for rich people" comment. It's the same ol' thing every season, imo. Nice suits, great luxurious fabrics incorporated, and okay accessories, but nothing revolutionary or fashion forward. It's Hermes, after all.
Now, I have to add that I love how the show started with that fantastic outerwear and the shoes had different colored laces. I thought that was a fun, small detail that was interesting.

Me too. While these looks undeniably are crafted from the finest materials, somehow the looks don't deliver that elegant feeling of personal luxury as for example Jil Sander collection does and which should be something very characteristic of Hermès. I think here it's due to too many unnecessary details (zips!) and styling choices. I don't like that flash of a belt/t-shirt they do every season, it seems too much like a department store thing.

What? Hermès is a total different brand from Simons and Owens. What is the meaning of your comparison?

BTW, the croc jacket, like Rachel Zoe said... I DIE
