I'm really impressed! I love how all of the pants moved and the fact that he used prints without it looking tacky. Great collection.

This is a stunning collection. I don't remember when the last time was I sat through an entire runway show with a ridicilous smile on my face.

I feel he has been stuck on the same clothes for 3 years.
I think you need to look closer.

I looked at this collection yesterday and I was a bit disappointed. Now I've seen it in motion.. as much as I find a lot of the clothes ugly, those three transforming dresses almost made me cry - after the first one you're just waiting in suspense for that model's hand to shoot up and rip at that neckline.
The second dress where the collar pops up as if it was one of those life rafts and the fabric cascades down. Absolutely speechless. Chalayan continues to amaze me.

I can't judge the collection by the picture, this is surreal and fantastic.

I'm so glad I'm not alone, this is one of the few times I've been so moved by a collection that I started tearing up. The only other designer who's done that was the late, great McQueen. But those three transforming looks are just spell bounding. For me, what I loved was the fragility of the three looks and how Chalayan took something which could be seen as a weakness and turned it into a strength. The rippling, liquid effect can only really be appreciated in video or gif form, pictures don't do them justice! That said, I found a "before & after" of one of the looks; doesn't the sort of ripped paper effect look beautiful?

This was insane! This man is a true designer, a true "fashion maker", he knows how to revolutionize and to make something fresh, something with a true meaning. I'm speechless.

This is forward-looking, this is fashion, more than just being "wearable".

I can't remember the last time a fashion show wow'd me. I saw the runway photos and relatively enjoyed the collection and then decided I would check out the video. At 2:37 when the dress transforms, I was simply floored. This is so imaginitive and so breathtakingly... cool... that I am in love.

I miss the innovation of his collections, the last collections were okay but more of the same. He isn't like before.

I agree. When I saw the pictures of this collection I was on the fence. Once I saw the collection in motion, there was no more room for doubt. His use of natural textures and nature-inspired prints...I mean, I have no other words for this collection other than "fashion as art."

Insanely GLORIOUS....the clothes need to be seen in video motion to do them justice. He manages not only technical and aesthetic feats, his trousers are so imaginatively varied and impeccable in construction, from wide structured to elegantly bias-cut, they put a lot of big names to shame. I can't understand why Prada with its repetitious parade of the same retro outfits in different colours and materials receive so much more attention than Chalayan who pours so much into every outfit, not just the transformation dresses (though they are undoubtedly genius...), that his experiments push fashion boundaries while remaining eminently wearable, without the insanity or outrage of the "drama" designers. Such an under-rated designer....

Those transforming dresses changed my opinion of this show completely. Simply amazing! The last time I was this floored was his Spring 2007 show (still gives me goosebumps).

Yaaaayyyyy, this has redeemed PFW for me, I just love it. Chalayan is always good for wearable, beautiful pieces that you can see transferring directly to the stores but equally for innovation and a sensitive and interesting treatment of fabrics and construction. I love the close ups of that dress, thank you for posting them.
