I really don't like any of it. Not impressive. The only thing I'm curious about is the finale dresses...I don't get the excitement about anything else.

Is it just me or has Hussein Chalayan been overshadowing the fashion in his collections with the technological advancements that he's been working with?

Maybe it is just me, but all I can remember from the last 2 years are the dresses that morphed from one era to another, the LED dresses, the laser and crystal dresses and the solar system contraptions.

I can't say I remember any of the clothes.

Perhaps it's just starting to bore me to see amazing innovation with what are essentially art pieces, but nothing particularly memorable in the fashion end of things.

*yawn*

it's nto fashioni. its art. this shouldnt be shown on a runway, it should be shown in a gallery. Chalayan is irrelevant as far as fashion goes but has something to say as far as art goes.

He's leagues ahead in terms of the prints - he's explored Space Invaders years before Giles does his Pac Man, and cosmic print before Pillotto and Dries Van Noten, now this current print is incredible. This doesn't outshine his movable parts collection, though it's still very beautiful. More beautiful than Balenciaga, but he doesn't seem to attract the same press. I wonder how those dresses work...wireframe?
