Very, very reminiscent of McQueen's work. Still delicious, though.

The details are nice, but very McQueen indeed.

I quite like it. The details are wonderful and everything looks perfectly executed. But I could do without the thigh-high boots.

I liked last season much better but I still love this! Of course it's all very McQueen but he still has his own aesthetic that blends in well with the McQueen references. The minidress in picture 5 is divine!

I also think the detials in the colection are very beautiful, but how many times have we seen this before not only from McQueen who did it best but from other designers like Viktor and Rolf. Im over it...

Look-a-like McQueen S/S 2010 collection, but in this collection I see more silk draperies

There is something about the silhouettes that he creates that's quite intimidating. But in a good way.

I do see the trace amount of Mcqueen influence here, as well as Rodarte (something about the set screams Rodarte to me)...Interesting collection, nonetheless, never really kept up with Jan but it'd be interesting to see how he progresses and fine tunes his couture collections.
Beautiful colors! |

His execution, detailing and silhouette vision have always been immaculate and I truly think he is a couturier designer pur sang, maybe even a big one, to be reckoned with in the future. But sometimes he just cant figure out what to do with legs, if not wrapped in a dress. Burn those thigh high monstrocities Jan! And get over the drag platforms, they're tired. But overall, again, well done.

I love it!
Yes its got a McQ to it but the draping on the bronze garment is stunning. I dont think Ive seen that with McQ, besides, how can anyone not be inspired by the mad genius that was McQ. I hadnt heard Jan Taminiau before but now hes got my attention! |
