If Scott ever designed anything that didn't reek of the dump I might take him seriously. He's best as satire in a Robert Altman film or project runway.

well,i wasn't necessarily comparing scott's work to franco moschino. that would be stupid. moschino's work was so much better and carried a much stronger message, especially his "stop the fashion system" collection. i was just saying that scott is the closest thing we have to moschino's humour in fashion right now. of course, there's also castelbajac...

i agree with you there. scott is pretty much following in kelly's footsteps and mirroring his career. i am a fan of kelly, though and i don't find him tacky.

jeremey scott's designs may not be aestheticly pleasing or "pretty". However, his play on prints is rather brilliant. It is a kind of wearable pop art. esp. the waltz foot mark printed dresses, very andy warhol-esque of him.
