In actuality, the color trend at Sander started with the Spring 2011 men's show, so the women's collection was copied from the men's + the women's show featured a lot of volume, yet this collection is more streamlined and the colors are more controlled.
Speaking for myself I love this collection. I like how it's a toned down version of Spring 2011 with new fabrics and more muted colors. To me, Raf has been doing great things at Jil as of late.
Very disappointed with the quality of the tailoring - the sleeveheads, the simplicity, even the colours are great, but the fit is just poor.
Love the silk t-shirts, the layering and the layering of the textures and the cut of the trousers, though unfortunately none of it is particularly interesting or covetable.
i usually hate color but raf (this season and the previous) is convincing me to get some color in my closet. the outerwear (and the hair) for me were the weakest.
and though i called out burberry for the bad fit of their coats, i see the large sleeve here as well.. in both cases, i get the idea but maybe in motion in just looks off putting. in any case, i like this very much.

There is nothing wrong or bad quality with the tailoring, it just looks odd today because the jackets are cut like in the 90s(or "pre-hedi slimane cut", as some people call it). This collection is a straight copy of the menswear Jil hersef did somewhere in 1998-99, even the color, knits etc. Still I love it, such a refreshing silhouette and colors after all the slim and dark stuff that has dominated menswear for the past years.
although I love the Jil Sander authenticity in this collection, I'm terribly disappointed with the lack of outerwear. I would have loved to have seen the simplicity and colour of the t-shirts and knitwear translate into beautifully tailored coats and jackets.
I personally wouldn't poke the coloured pieces with a cattle prod. I'm not a fan of fruity-overload but I love the outfits with a little of colour, especially the black coat and pants with the orange sweater.
Love the fabrics not sure about the actual clothes and I am a HUGE Raf fan. I think that he is blending Jil into his own line too much. He need to differentiate the two things more. That being said I still like it I just think he might be a little stuck. The S/S shows for mens and womens shows were great I think that this reads as more of a pre-fall show not a true winter collection.

I'm not talking about the 90's fit of the jackets, they just seem to be quite flat pattern, noteably this one. They don't appear to fit the model well, seen by the large folds created in the sides of the jacket.
