I felt like the collection really got interesting when they played 50 Cent. I mean, the first batch of white looks were terribly boring. Then came the interesting prints with uninspired shapes. Then it really started to pick up with the quirky face prints. The four white gowns at the end were stunning. I would happily get married in any of those (except for perhaps the last one).

First thing that sprang to my mind was Hitchcock blonde, maybe it was the shirt dresses, they had an element of Grace Kelly about them. Great collection though.

This is perfection. I've always loved what Raf does with white but now he combined it with paisly which can be soooo tricky at times, but it was absolutely perfect. Just...aaaah..i die

Oh my lord this was an absolute disaster of a collection. Everything was horrible; the white space looks, the paisley, the head pieces, the finale looks, the daywear, the shoes (dont get me started on those monstrous creations). Absolute disaster.

I am literally in shock after seeing this collection; finding it hard to believe this is a Jil Sander collection. It is so messy, disorganized, and kitschy. So not Raf. Usually his collections are so streamlined. But this? Its like Marc Jacobs for Jil Sander. I immediately thought of Marcs Spring 2008 collection (the absurdity, the reversal of expectations, the surrealism of it all).

I think the number one problem here, was that there was far too much going on, but none of those ideas correlated with one another. Watching the show gave me a headache trying to piece everything together.

And on a side note. Did anyone else get the feeling he was trying to mimic the success of last Springs triumph? The runway, the music ("Candy Shop" by 50Cent so reminiscent of "Gimme Some More" by Busta Rhymes), the 50's couture aesthetic. Everything in this collection was like a failed attempt at trying to recreate the last Spring Summer collection.

The first few peices puzzeled me, like I was having deja vu or something! The 60's motif was evident but was very subtle! The prints on the little short-suits were adorable! The gowns, however, were my favorite! They were just magnificent! Simple yet, in its own way, extravagant also! The 50 cent song made me giggle and I think it was a good choice of music in the sense that it showed a kind of contradiction between the classy, chic Jil Sander and its ability to adapt to modern normality of life!

All in all, I say BRAVA Jil Sander!

The first thing I thought of was the French movie Mon Oncle from 1958---the runway reminds me soooo much of their garden and all the white and clinical color ways reminds me of the wives wardrobe and their furniture...
I think this is stunning and strong. The shapes and translucency is the looks was done some smartly and properly...I ADORE the white shoe-boots and the hats are interesting. Love the netting and the shape of the hat over the face. It's a throwback but it feels so modern to me.
And the 50 Cent thing I thought was really good---a touch of irony perhaps? These girls are sexy and very strong, but their mysterious and kind of look like little, quiet "love doctors." To me, there is actually a lot of sex appeal in this collection...
