So over this John, please give me something new.

And that phallic jockstrap/codpiece is somehow beneath him, it's along the lines of DSquared/Andrew MacKenzie, shocking for the sake of being shocking and nothing else.

This collection lacks subtlety. It's smacking us in the face with how controversial and shocking and forward it is.

how come he does so well with woman'swear but not with menswear

galliano seems to be really into designing for ' characters' (or even stereotypes) and exaggerating them, like for some of the old collections he did for Dior, he did Victorian doll theme and Indian theme and they were very over-the-top... A tulle dress would be made giant and so on; so I think for his menswear, he's looking also for a kind of 'persona' except one in male 'history'... and I guess males don't have a lot of 'beauty' themes like in the womenswear. You have just for example military, rock and roll, etc.
Don't know if I am making any sense

I think once the clothes have been seen separately, then it doesn't look as bad. Some of the jackets actually look nice... I don't agree with the colour combos but I guess it would suit a certain kind of person
And I am glad at least this collection does not look as dirty as the last one's--I mean the clothes there actually looked dirty themselves but here it is just the models that are dirty

I really think his collection is overtly sexual, too, strange. I mean, come'on, are you telling me that I'm actually going to see some of this crap hanging in the pristine halls of Saks?

You know what it reminds me of?

Did anyone see that movie? Zoolander? Derek Zoolander? With the garbage runway show?

Galliano looks like a poodle with that hair, FYI. It's like, I'm not even sure what the hair is saying. It's all so full of s**t.

I wouldn't even let him clean my pool.

He must drug the models up before he sends 'em out, too. Maybe it's those magic mushrooms I read about in DETAILS magazine? Whatever it is, gimme a piece of that.

PS: Maybe Galliano knows how stupid it looks and the joke is on some of us, for trying to interpret it or give it some grand meaning?

I absolutely agree with you on his penchant for designing for 'characters'. I think that's Galliano's unique selling-point too but personally, I feel there's just as many male 'characters'/themes Galliano could utilise in order to inspire his designing of menswear.

Excuse me while I go and wretch, yet again, at the horror of this collection.

His over-produced menswear shows, over the top styling, and contrieved shocking tactics are definitely so tiresome and stupid looking...His clothes are not as bad as they seem but I don't expect much from him anyway

This is absolutely disgusting, really (especially the fake penis).

Oh and Galliano himself looks like a butch Esmeralda....
