i agree with you meg. after hearing that he was going the target route,i've lost my appreciation for his aesthetics.

i definitely also agree that this is very american vogue. it's certainly a coincidence that he just had a big feature in the latest issue and he planning to show in ny. and ultimately this showing.

Well, uh, it's not good but at least it's something interesting(?) for NYC. I think everyone is right when they say London designers should stay in London and not fall into the black hole that is NYFW.

Wow, everyone is so intense about this.

I'm split. I think it would have fit in better in London. Not as good as last season, but I really like the last few dresses.

i don't really care if this were in london or not....it's just a complete sell-out either way. if this were in london some would say it would fit best in the NY scheme of things. so either way,i couldn't care less. like preen....they finally did a decent collection after disappointment after disappointment. that's all that matters to me. and i don't like being too hasty about the whole of NY nor am i ever--just a major disappointment that alot of really good talents in that city often get overlooked and taken for granted. and in that there are a few talents like threeasfour, cianciolo, giberson, pierrot, rzepski that one could never pigeonhole as 'atypical'.

another thing...BOUDICCA...remember when they showed in NYC? they never compromised anything...nor ever. but they didn't change their sensibilities because they made their presence in NY.

There are some outstanding pieces here but again, no cohesion. And I agree, the architectural layering is all off!

When on earth would you cast Isabeli Fontana to dress as a camel secretary??

The sleek, fitted pieces are structurally amazing, but I feel like I am going on a fox hunt with my dear old stodgy uncle.
