It's the most desireable wardrobe in London! I want all of the menswear, especially the red cardigan with the light blue foliage. So beautiful, so wearable. Jonathan surely knows how to balance newness and desirability.

Apart from maybe a vague resemblance with the prints, and maybe the collars of those first jackets, how is this Prada S/S 11?

I hate it

It's just so... not what I want from him. I was a huge Saunders fan after his first few outings- so chic and streamlined. If there is one thing I cannot tolerate, it's clothing that is ugly on purpose, and I would classify the majority of this collection as such.

“There is this new baroque minimalism that started with Prada’s spring/summer 2011-12 and I think lots of designers are taking it up,” said Vogue’s Harriet Quick. “Jonathan did it brilliantly – I thought his collection showed a new confidence and maturity. It really was beautiful.”
Quote from show review at Vogue UK.

Personally, I can see some Prada influence. Frankly, I see Marni in the quirky use of colour, and even flickers of Erdem and Christopher Kane. And yet I don't see this collection as a plagiarism of any of those designers. It just has its pulse on the times, is going with the trends, but it is still Jonathan Saunders.

According to Tim Blanks at style.com the collection was inspired by Outerbridge's photos, but I like what he says about shape in his review:

Quote:
But if his clothes were such a success, some credit was due the new rigor in Saunders' shapes. The sheaths with their side slits or the longer, languidly fitted dresses with hems flouncing out from under tiers of pleating made strong, sexy canvases for color and print. And it was surely significant that one of the most striking looks in the show was entirely print-free. It was a simple maroon skirt paired with a blouse that was jade green in front, dusty rose in back. Strict, yes, but oh so sensual

In my humble opinion, Jonathan Saunders is a master of graphical fashion direction.

I absolutely adore this collection. The colours are divine and work so well together. As for the menswear, I love how he uses the same prints and colours as for the women's. It's truly androgynous in a way that it looks just as good on both genders, and it doesn't look unisex at all.
Very desirable.

Yes! I adore this collection, from the interesting colours to the nature inspired prints.
I would kill for a piece.

to be honest, I could feel a certain prada vintage vibe on the first looks, but they look good though. I love the prints!

This seems to be a collection which people either love or hate.

I personally love it. I love how he has mixed the colors and patterns. While still maintaining a simple silhouette without too much fuss.

I think this is my favorite collection so far, or at least one of them
