Looks like crap to be honest. I don't doubt there will be some interesting details that were not picked up in the runway pics, but still it doesn't justify the pricing and horrid looking shapes...

Initially dissapointed in this, still am to a degree, but as with most of his collections, I think it repays more detailed scrutiny (although this may just be giving him the benefit of the doubt, as I am likely to do).

Cons - very very bad trousers, too much uninteresting fatigue cotton, some pretty unflattering jacket shapes, it is a bit Urban Outfitters at first glance, it's another army theme, as Faust said.

Pros - there are really interesting details (not the patches) like the green fur lined lapels, the check inserts in the jackets, the patch pockets........some of the shirts (very unmilitary, for contrast), the nylon parka/AI/suit jackets are very clever, it is "real" clothing, unlike a lot of what is presented on a catwalk, it is a much much "harder" version of army than the happy army collection from a few seasons ago, quite punky.

There should be more interesting things going on in Junya's head for menswear, so it's still frustrating, but I think it will be good in the stores

What would save this if he did different fabrics, but most of it looks like straight out of the army surplus stores .

^^ I agree - the fabrics look shitty. The whole "keepin it real" things is just too restrictive.....

I doubt that's where he got his inspiration from. What's "reli" anyway?

Agreed. At least at the surplus store the fabric is legit. And as far as the cuts go, real BDU's and such are infinitely adjustable.
