I am not digging the ceranraps... we discussed the bag over a model's head in Viktor & Rolf S/S 05, but this is much more discutable... big big turn-off.

I believe...and I may be totally wrong, that the Seran Wrap is there because those shapes and hats have actually been molded to the models heads. I remember back in art class where we made actually masks from our faces, the Seran Wrap was placed down and then the doughy sort of mixture over it and when it hardened, it popped right off without anything sticking to your face thanks to the Seran Wrap. Even the extreme mohawks seem to be attached to a head piece that looks molded from the models' heads.

I don't think the wrap is some kind of statement about strangling women...though if could be about preserving beauty...

The bag at V&R was no statement either... statement or no statement, artsy or not, seranwrap around a model's face goes to far for my sake...

Hi Johnny! It's nice to be here.

why do I like it so much........hmmmm

the first few pics instantly brought to mind Corrosion of Conformity and Exploited album covers which makes me a bit nostalgic for my youth.....the clothing follows in the same route. I think it captures the anger and angst of my punk days, but also translates into the state of the world today....maybe I like the fact that a lot of it I could actually see myself in, like the olive jkt and the camo pants with comat boots. I love military inspiration and camo and this is the best I've seen in a while.

other than that.....I think the presentation is just visually amazing!!!!

It is quite punky, definately. I was never a punk, so no nostalga value for me! It's also very androgenous, I was thinking that too - like you say, you could see yourself in some of it. Punk and androgeny are very comme (like nqth says), so in a way it's a classic comme des garcons collection. What with all these spiky hair/face masks and Godzilla/brontosaurus dresses, fashion's gone scary!!

yes, I guess the androgony is definitely why I like it.

scary?.....depends on what scares you..........I see armor to keep the evil away.........but it's definitely very aggressive......

and I really like what birdofparadise said about preservation of beauty which really got my attention and mind going.

it's interesting how we were all talking about the yamamoto collection being more agressive and now this.... seems to be in the air.
