i really don't think that it will be shockingly different from the other topshop collections- as far as i know kate really likes topshop and shops there app. once in a month so they already sell clothes which kate (and so probably all of us ) like to buy and wear..so i'm not that excited about the collection but it's nice to see clothes that are actually designed by HER

The Topshop people said that she didn't WORK on the collection. All she did was she will come to the Tophsop office, linger around for an hour or two, set the inspiration and leave it the rest to the designers. In comparison to Madge, I think that Momma Pop did it better...

LONDON: It is as black and shiny and slithery as a wet seal and it shows a lot of bared skin below the pouting face of Kate Moss. If this dress is worn by the über- model on the cover of British Vogue, it has to be something exceptional, right? A designer creation? Haute couture maybe?
"Nah!" as the model herself might say. It's £45, or $87, from Topshop.
The launch in May of the Kate Moss collection at London's cool-and-cheap store is yet another of the high-low celebrity tie-ups. But with a difference. Moss herself has a sense of style that cannot be bought with designer dollars. And if she can capture her own heady mix of offhand glamour and rock chick cool — and sell it off the rack — this could be the ultimate celebrity success story for the model and for Topshop's flamboyant boss, Philip Green.
Two things are currently running parallel in the celebrity world: the icon who steps down to earth, as in famous name collaboration with fast-fashion retailers; and the designer lines like Beyoncé Knowles with her House of Deréon label or Jennifer Lopez in her Sweetface brand in collaboration with Andy Hilfiger.
Sometimes the two are combined, as in model and actress Milla Jovovich and her design partner Carmen Hawk, for Mango, yet another fast-fashion collaboration; while the Jovovich-Hawk line is a separate label.How many of these celebrity fashion flowerings — some of which have instantly wilted — can there be? The fashion world respects stylish singer Gwen Stefani, whose L.A.M.B. fashion line clearly reflects its creator's image and suggests that she is closely involved with the design. Beyoncé is working with her designer mother, which makes her collection credible. Other celebrity lines are instantly forgettable.
Moss could have the winning formula — if she is prepared to give the Topshop line enough attention — in between shooting advertising campaigns for Burberry and Versace, Longchamp bags, Rimmel lipstick and Agent Provocateur underwear. For, as a model, she knows the score: that the test is not how the clothes appear when she is projecting them with camera-friendly charisma. It is how they look and feel on lesser mortals who want to buy into the dream.

i just can't wait for kate's collection to come out^^ not just 'cause it Kate Moss stuff but because she has great style and great clothes and it's all been inspired by her so it got to be good, at least for ppl who are Kate Moss style fans^^

On May 8, Barneys New York, which has the U.S. exclusive on her debut fashion collection, will give the supermodel a party in her honor. "It's super cute," Barneys' Julie Gilhart said of the spring line, lauding its sexy, casual, vintage-flecked style. "She's very much a Barneys kind of look."

well, I asked asked the SAs at the Topshop stores in Singapore and they said that her line will be arriving in May. I'm presuming then that her collection will be sold at Topshop stores worldwide.

Kate Moss will make a rare public appearance on May 8 when Barneys New York fêtes the supermodel and her new capsule collection for Topshop, which the retailer will launch and carry exclusively in the U.S. “Topshop is a lower-end mass store that offers a lot of style; Barneys is an upscale luxury store that offers high style,” said Julie Gilhart. “What we both share is a love of style.” Barneys has, in the past, stocked select Topshop pieces, including the Baxter jean, which sold out. Moss’ designs will be prominently displayed in the Co-Op, and Simon Doonan will install windows to herald the collection’s arrival. “Kate’s style is so much of a Barneys style, so it’s like having a peek into her closet,” Gilhart compared. “But the most important thing is that we buy produce first, regardless of designer or name.” So excited is Gilhart with the upcoming shipment that she’s already earmarked her personal must-haves: a grey T-shirt with metal studs and a little chiffon dress.
