Im sure THIS is the dress Kate is wearing in the pics at the Barneys launch. it looks a lot looser on the shoulders on the mannequin than on kate; but all the outifts she has been wearing to promotoe the line will obviously have been tailored to her exact measurements rather than just off the rack.

Buyers flock to Moss' style launch
Queues are expected outside a top New York department store on Wednesday as the Kate Moss Topshop collection goes on sale.
Barney's flagship Madison Avenue store will launch 26 pieces from the collection and shoppers will be limited to five pieces per person when it opens.
At the launch of the collection in London recently, more than 1,000 shoppers thronged to Topshop's Oxford Street branch after some queued for more than eight hours to be among the first at the tills.
Simon Doonan, creative director at Barney's, said: "This is a level of competitive shopping that even New Yorkers haven't encountered before.
"So you have to dress appropriately, basically as little as possible, because you need to be able to try on loads and loads of things really quickly and get in and out of the dressing room and back on the floor to snatch things before another girl does."
The collection will also go on sale at all Barney's CO-OP stores in New York, but the Madison Avenue store will have a select few items the others won't, including the $575 (£289) petal-sleeve dress and the $470 (£236) wire trapeze smock dress - and it will only carry 10 of each.
The $120 (£60) one-shoulder dobby-dot dress Selma Blair was spotted wearing is the only piece that won't be available until June.
Croydon-born supermodel Moss was reportedly paid £3m to create the fashion range.
Other items in the collection include skinny jeans, one-shoulder mini dresses and T-shirts with the letter K woven into their designs.

wowsa! you mean the one shown on the mannequin in post 813? i really like that and didn't realize it was $$! what else did they have? did they have the chanel-inspired dress? i know the white one-shoulder dress is not coming out until june some time.

...the barneys site for kate moss seems offline. i guess they did that in case the shops sell out of the items?

I dont understand why they are over charging so much at Barneys. Surely its cheaper to buy from the topshop website?

laisla - it's certainly cheaper to buy from topshop.com (though the yellow K tshirt is cheaper in the US after the conversion), but most of the items are sold out or not available to begin with. plus it's a pain to have to ship back to the UK if someone needs to return the item bc it doesn't fit or something. ...i am guessing barney's is charging a lot bc 1) they know they can and people will still buy and 2) probably duties/import tax cause the price to go up a bit.

retro - that is a fab dress that you got! show 'n tell when you get the chance!

this is the chanel-inspired one: (pic from katemosstopshop.com)

This is going to make me late for class, but I thought I should give you guys the Windy City report. I got to Barney's at 9:34 and there was one other girl waiting in the line already. I thought there'd be more people, but there were only five when the store opened. Nonetheless, more people arrived at 10:00, so alot of stuff was sold out when I left

The supply at the Chicago Barney's was very limited, basically if it wasn't on their website it wasn't in the store. This was a huge bummer. They didn't even have any of the vests or the long skirts

In the end though I did get the pansy-dress that I've craved so much. I love it. The fabric is very light and if fits really great. I just hate the fact that I'm going to have to start going to Barneys once a week to check out their Kate Moss collection!
