my fave by Kris thus far.. never really found him all that interesting but this collection intrigues me. I agree that he should leave DIOR. Heidi was the only one for that job. IMO

It is okay to move out of Dior Homme's shadow but why does he have to move under Rick Owens/Belgian gothic, dark romanticism's umbrella??

such a valid question this is! one, consciously or not, expects every label/designer to stick to a certain aesthetic which makes it/him stand out of the crowd. jumping from one bandwagon to another adds nothing but confusion. i loved this KVA's collection. but does it really reflects who KVA is and what he does? and if so, what does it tell about him?

I can see the resemblance of the designers mentioned, but I think KVA has always been loving his "bad boy" aesthetics don't he? Correct me if i'm wrong though...

i dont understand how is he able to show consistently good KVA collections, but he just seems unable to capture the right dior homme allure.
i very much like this. it does look a bit Owens, but it doesnt seem like he is trying too hard

As much as I want to hate this collection I'm fond of it. Very different from what I expected. Kris still lacks a clear direction in which he wants to take his line, further more he still doesn't seem to know what to do with Dior. What annoys me is that both lines blurry into something similar, specially when they share runway models.

Wow, decent for once, and definitely a lot of Rick Owens, Yohji influences, but he seems to grasp the construction and shape of this direction better. There was one belted waistcoat outfit in the middle that seems a flashback to "Dior" days and that sent a horrible shiver down my spine...

I think the guy is a hack. Not even this collection makes me feel any more positive toward his career.
