I read somewhere that a Lanvin skirt is a new Chanel jacket. The collection justifies it. I love it!

That was in the September Vogue in the article about How much will it cost to look good for fall? The author's a big Lanvin fan, and I'm beginning to agree with her ... Lanvin definitely speaks to me in a way Chanel does not Can't wait for the show ... I seem to recall it's at the very very end of Paris fashion week

For me, Chanel is power, and Lanvin is beauty.

Just had a chat with Barney's about this collection ... they are currently waiting for the knits, which will come in first. Softgrey, I suspect what you saw was the resort look book, and the 14 pieces were the ones actually shown ... what I heard today was that Barney's doesn't begin to carry the whole collection. Hopefully I'll be able to find out soon whether they will have the pieces I'm interested in ...

Major bummer ... Barney's says they didn't order this resort collection at all. They are the only US retailer Lanvin shows on their website ... do they indeed have it exclusively?

It was the best cruise collection around, and I have a pleasure to take a look of the whole of catalogue, and it was breathe taking. 52 looks in total, and way better than his f/w collection, i wish i have the time to scan all the picture for you guys, but I don't, unfortunately... any Lanvin people here??? those of you who are interested could go to the shop and check the real stuff in Nov (i think that's abt time for the cruise).

i would say it's very possible...
they often request exclusives...and they do have a rather large lanvin area...
and then they also have the bags on the ground floor in ny...

i assume they also have it in the california store...

Alan Bilzerian stores in Boston & Newton carry Lanvin as well. I'm not sure if they ordered the resort collection, but it doens't hurt to try:
617 536 1001 ext.2. Tracy is my SA, but everybody there is nice. Note:they don't always tell you the truth regarding collection, etc. You need to use your own judgment.

Thanks, Caffeine, appreciate the info
