More often than not the seams are not right. They are replete with lumps and bumps with the consequence that many pieces do not sit right on the body. This type of poor seamwork marks out a graduate designer who's technique is lacking but surely at a house such as Lanvin this must be unacceptable?
I do see a couple things there that look like mistakes, but hard to tell without the whole picture? The other seam could match, to provide some movement? Can you find the complete shot to pair with the details?

I have never seen a problem with a seam on the rack ... but do remember one pair of slacks that made it to the sale in every size. They were incredibly unflattering on (and apparently everyone else agreed with me).

I like this ... I do see several new elements. Agree this is a marriage that should last forever

I could blab on and on about why I love this, but I fear I won't be able to shut up. PERFECTION, end of story.

This great, though at times disjointed.

I think my problem is less with the clothes being repetitive and more with the dark staging they do for every collection. Doesn't really help the clothes.

Not my favourite Lanvin collection but still very good.

Two problems
1. Some looks looked like Gucci, Balmain and Balenciaga
2. The colors (except for the brights) made it look like a Fall collection

... that being said, it is still a wonderful collection for me.

I always seem to love when Alber does something that's a bit aggressive and more streamlined, and this is no exception. I'm not totally sold on the colored pieces towards the end, but everything else is really working for me. Even the jewelry, which is extremely atypical for Lanvin, is working for me. Something about the energy just says "speed"...

Just looked at this again piece by piece, and with the Japanese influence, all the variations on obis and bows, the different shapes, new twists on asymmetry, different shoes, different jewelry, etc., I find it quite significantly different from what has come before.

What Alber does is evolution, not revolution, and the differences are subtle--but nonetheless real.

I appreciate that he has the confidence to continue to do what's right and appropriate for the house.

And I love the color.

All I have to say is elegance and perfection..in the right way.
Some designers are better than others and Alber is one of the uberbest.
