oh I hate the lace and the 'sexy' pieces.....the suspenders and the lacy thong. Come on ? Maybe she is trying to make some kind of point with this but it just looks dodgy.

you're welcome softgrey
okay simply my favorite so far is the second look in #24.
how about you?
it seems that the lacework and its suitable form is one of the thematic things there.

Thanks for posting these.
I did not like the first look (the fedora) and the blue outfit with the thong feels out-of-place and doesn't seem relevant to the rest of her collection (and also tacky)

But the other outfits were so beautiful..............................very good take on baggy pants

hmmm yes I guess it might work in an ironic way in Japan but anywhere else its just going to make you look like a prossy

I'm liking this a lot! I love how this is just the antithesis of the lady-like well fitted prim and prude western fashion trends of FW 05, the way that nothing fits and everything's very loose, floaty and free, and that you would not feel supressed, restrained or confined in these clothes

I don't object to any materials, textures or colours in particular, they can always be used by talented designers in new and interesting ways, which is what bothers me about this collection, nothing new or interesting here. Too much Gothic Lolita, which is a concept that's been around for a few years already!

? Not attacking your personal style urd, but is this not just a leotard with stockings? When are you supposed to wear this?

I'm quite confused by this collection generally! Some of it is nice, although those bits are nothing new really; similar to daddy amd rei (the dresses with rcuhed oddly placed hems etc). I much prefer Tao's use of lace for SS06.

but first of all this is S/S 06...not f/w...

i don't know what collections you are thinking of in terms of 'western fashion'...
but...
the biggest trend for S/S 06 on all the runways is VOLUME...
it's all about loose and easy dressing right now...
ie-prada, marni, donna karan, dries van noten, vera wang...etc...
and pretty much all of ny shows...

i agree that volume is great and freedom of movement is great...
but it is not exclusive to japanese designers anymore...
it's a global trend
...

the only difference i can see is the addition of a belt in some cases...
but the belt is an accessory...
*it's OPTIONAL.......

Yeh, I gathered it's S/S 06 I was just making a comparision to the FW 05 season and its polish well-fitted look, e.g. Prada, Lanvin, Proenza Schouler etc... I'm just saying it's a great contrast from that look

i don't know...i still see it differently...but that's ok...

just thinking out loud now...
especially with all the new gothic stuff that's happening for fall...
imo the best stuff is all loose and/or flowy...
even at marc jacobs...

and i have some really loose and flowy stuff from limi from previous seasons that manages to look better than a potato sack...
which some of this does not......
