I think some of it looks cool but it is a bit practical, no?

The pieces have never been so literal before. They're usually a bit more clever. Maybe these have to be seen in person to truly arrest.

I always find 1 item to be reall really nice, but the rest is just utterly boring.

LOL every season its the same, if i could just pick 1 item out of every artisanal collection they did, it would be my dream-collection...

and Martin Margiela is my hero, dont get me wrong....

He certainly interprets that Amsterdam thrift shop feeling very well. I wonder if he dry cleans all those furs/shearlings first?

Tinsel? Now it really seems as if he's just being different for the sake of it.

His work always amazes me. I just went to the NY store last week and I saw the men's bathtowel bathrobe and the women's cut-up vintage tee shirt. And I also saw the vintage aviator hat jacket. So amazing.

i don't think that's true at all. i always think he utilises things to show some of what one could actually come up with when you recycle. he's been doing it for ages now like with the military socks into a structured sweater and the broken china waistcoat....it's just the kind of thing one would expect him to do. and just last season he turned motorbikers helmet into a handbag.
