I think there might be some problems occurred with the collaboration, coz I've never ever seen a preview this late into August (H&M workers since Madonna Collaboration)
& H&M website Press Area released their FALL campaign and collection preview, and have no mention of MMM @ HM at all
Hopefully it will be out and about in September, as its not in any magazine's september issue.
They sat on the Lanvin images and even the announcement it was Lanvin for months. I'm not surprised in the slightest. The ad campaign will probably break in an October issue which will be due out shortly, and I imagine British Vogue will carry a preview of it. ADR's collection comes first anyway, and we've not even seen the full set of images of that from the H&M team.
i've heard that MMM is not doing well financially
they need money, thats the story behind the H&M collaboration
that certainly would make sense. given how much MMM has become nothing more than a publicity machine these days,it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was struggling at making substantial revenue. and as a whole, could be indicative of why sophia probably left black gold
i am extremely reluctant about this collaboration (i'm one of those very annoying people who are sad to see MMM "lose its soul") and that dress doesn't look like anything extraordinary to me...
i mean MMM is about witty, interesting clothes that have a great cut and are made of great materials. the great materials part is very important and it's obviously not going to happen for an H&M collaboration. ****ty materials equals not a great fit, so we can forget about the great cut part too.
all that's left is whimsical and witty clothes but i don't see that in that dress.
i'm more hopeful about the accessories though.
sorry for such negativity but MMM x H&M just feels wrong.
i'm not crazy about that look either. it actually looks like an amateur's take on ann-sofie back. not well executed. there were similar shapes in the past where the volume was a bit more balanced and forgiving. this is just a fashionista vision of not just MMM but being quirky.

Reason: accidental weight mention
why is everyone bashing the collaboration materials? imo all the materials that were used till now for H&M collaborations were pretty damn good. lots of silk, reasonably thick cotton, cashmere, merino and leather.
it's always the design houses which dictate the terms of the materials used.
