The accessories look good, always a mainstay for marc by marc. A lot of shine on the fabrication but it's done in a way that works with this line's aesthetic, i.e., it's not too dressy. Interesting that he stuck with pretty much one skirt length only for this collection. I do see how it's an altered version of his main line last fall. The colours make it new however. And more animal prints! Like at Jill Sander, etc. (We can maybe blame, or thank, Mui Mui for starting this trend ) Running deer on dresses and skirts, and are those lion on the gold lame print? Of course this works with ecology and green thinking, which a younger consumer in particular should care about - see Daryl K's revised camo, though, for, imo, the smartest take on that.
there's not enough variation in the colour scheme...
it's all for blondes and dirty blondes...
it's going to be harder for anyone with dark hair to wear this stuff...
unless they also have dark skin...
* you can even see it in the casting...
that bums me out because this is really my silhouette...
and i love this stuff...
but not in these colours... ...
i am so glad the 70's chic thing is moving forward...
i feel like we saw it on the runway...but not on the street...
maybe now we'll see more people wearing skirts and dresses instead of JEANS!...
though i havea little trouble with the styling
the idea of bare legs and socks with ankle boots...
seems a bit chilly and also hard to pull off irl if you aren't over 5'7"
anyway...
it's fun on the runway...
