Whilst this collection was low on wow factor - even for a diffusion line - it's monumental to see Marc away from retroism. And a clear indication that the sports thing may well be set to continue beyond New York. I've been aching for the end of retro for ages but just didn't think we'd ever see it. And it's largely been Marc and Miuccia's fault. Were I running a vintage store I'd be very worried right now. This is looking like being a great season. And I've just seen something jawdrop unexpected elsewhere which we'll see later.
I thought this one was the thread for Tommy Hilfiger lol. I don't know but I got Hilfiger's vibe from this collection and also those skirts reminding me so much of Miu Miu FW 11.12. Loving all the bodysuit thou.
it's so clean and minimalistic, unfrumpy, almost future-yuppy....quite unexpected....about 60% i find bordering on the boring, 1990's sportswear almost....30% interesting if disassembled and 10% just gorgeous in the cleanest, minimalistic chic imaginable..i want that opening dress.
Who could possibly still be interested in color blocking and everything else 2008 brought and killed?
Terrible.
Sidenote: MartiniKiss (and people starting threads), don't forget starting threads with thumbnails is actually against the rules in this section, we're not removing (as we should) but do keep it in mind just so we don't have to!, thumbnails should be posted as an optional view for members, with full, regular-sized pictures for easy navigation as a start instead. Thanks in advance (and for the contributions). Here's more to Designers & Collections posting etiquette.

I'm usually always enchanted by Marc by Marc, but this terribly underwhelming and déjà-vu. Of course, i always try to be positive and see how each piece could separately but this quite tasteless and forgettable
