It was a disaster to watch this show because the models just couldn't walk...the dresses were way too tight. Though I appreciate several pieces for their distinct look, the impracticality and the fact that it was ALL tube dresses make me dislike this. Such a letdown, since last season he was among my top 5 faves of Spring...

It's good. I hate looks 3, 4, 5 and 6. The rest is pretty good. Not as good as last season, but there are definitely pieces I like here.

they're not tube dresses.....they're hobble dresses.

i know there's a fetish subculture for the hobble dress/skirt, and they will (probably be the only ones who) LOVE this, but let's be honest....no one will buy this.

stores will more than likely request these dresses in mini or knee length. they wouldn't look so bad then, but what's the point of showing it this way on the runway? it's not that striking and doesn't make an impact or a statement other than one that's bordering on misogynistic. the heels were super high too, they looked about 5.5" when shown in profile in the video. yeah, i'm all for high heels; they make a woman feel powerful and confident, but i don't appreciate things like this that are debilitating to women. they should be able to strut confidently and be fierce, not hop along behind everyone else at a snails pace.

this also makes me think of when suze menkes(? i don't exactly remember if it was her or not), bashed stefano pilati's s/s 07 collection for ysl when the models were in high heels walking through a bed of flowers, saying that it was demeaning to women. i don't think so. that was amazing; the collection was lighthearted, fierce, the models looked amazing. it was nothing at all like this (and at least all of those looks were wearable!!!)

ok, with that said..... i'll get off the soap box now.

oye...what is going on here? quite a letdown after his last season. he better have a knockout showroom line-up to compensate for this.

Um, no. A lot of it looks simply trashy, I only like Mariya's closing look and then Hanne's lace dress.

WOW
im all over this, how incredible, though very margiela i have to say
i love the hobble dresses that have the pieces of fleshy looking fabriced arranged symetrically on them, its so sexy, like some part of the human body that you would normally never see....its like soft core alien porn or something, organic but not
i love the pieces with the exposed jeans too!!

I think he's playing the body-conscious way too much! Take it easy, Marios boy! This is so awful, how can women really buy these?
This season is really disappointing for me.
