Uninspired take on bondage OR Christo.

He lost something in the process here. His imagery used to be a lot stronger and directional.

I think it's possible to do a commercial collection and still keep that vision, just look at Chris Kane.

Bit dissapointed overall.

At a quick glance, everything except the multi-colored pieces look good!

The dresses made of corse are beautiful if terribly ill-fitting.

The rope thingy a la Joan of Arc is actually rather kinky.

Not too sure Kane is that able on the commercial side, hasnt managed to keep the margins down, at 4000 a piece does not seem realistic to me.

I am feeling this collection more and more, especially the video...

why would he keep margins down if people buy his collections anyway?!?
stores are ordering Kane like crazy, believe me.
If it sells in the stores, that's another thing..

Selling in the stores is what matters no?

HE'S the darling of the London Fashion scene and Marios Schwab is staying right at the centre of things. He promised "a refined and desirable interpretation of the sinister side of desire," for spring/summer 2009 – and whether you go with the intellectualisation of fashion or you just want to wear it, there is no doubting that this is desirable.
Schwab experiments with unique reinterpretations of standard shapes every season and this time, inspired by environmental installation artist Christo and traditional Greek dresses, he managed to hang dresses from the body in a way that was sexy, elegant and surprising all at once.
Baggy romper suits in tan suede or in stunning prints of turquoise, orange and pink were subtly cool, while cleverly conceived cutouts gave mini dresses a nymphette sex appeal and were just as sexy - but less realistic - on trousers that were split up the inside of each leg.
Best of all were dresses that were harnessed in glittering metallic rope at the neck or shoulder, more of which were entwined over the entire body in the same way Schwab did so successfully – but somehow less stunningly – with pearls this time last year.
Playing Rumpelstiltskin for a finale of glimmering dresses woven with pure silver that were suspended from fine silver chains - as if the clothes themselves were jewellery – Schwab continues to aim high and score higher.
