^ She is so lovely in that dress. Inspiring.

I love all of this. Truly amazing, which is a rarity these days. Thanks, Runner!

you're welcome Scott, wheneveriwakeup

Scott maybe it's about 200000 yen?

MMM Tokyo used to be a house converted into a store.
then they got a building which was a precision instrument (for car/ship) factory, and it is used as their new Tokyo flagship now.

that's not too bad. most p-a-p pieces with half or even less the workmanship in general sometimes cost that much.

the flagship looks brilliant. they've actually kept that kind of automotive/mechanics decor....

you know, like CDG did,his supplanted boutiques actually have a guerilla feel about them.

Vintage black leather tabi sandals with no uppers, to be worn with clear shipping tape wrapped repeatedly around the sole and the foot.

Interesting. I wonder what they look like actually on a foot.... I imagine not very comfortable though, with tape and all.

OOH thank you for those scans!

Stella Tennant? Very nonconformist
Anyway she's gorgeous. Absolutely not Margiela, but still pretty...

A little visual aid...the "topless sandals" were made for the S/S 1996 catwalk. I believe there was in fact an option to produce them, but it was probably understood that they were intended more as conceptual showpieces than fuctional footwear.

thanks for sharing all the great scans. i believe there was a step-by-step guide on how to make the socks-sweater in A Magazine! really nice to see the older collections from MMM. really inspiring.

stella tennant is pretty but i wished that a non-model, non-celebrity was used for the retrospective. but all is good! definitely a keeper. cheers.
