MAKE WAY FOR WILLIAMSON: Matthew Williamson will be the face — alongside Daria Werbowy — of the campaign for his upcoming collection for Hennes & Mauritz. In the campaign, shot in Tulum, Mexico, Williamson models pieces from his men’s wear collection. The campaign, shot by Solve Sundsbo, will break in May, although no titles have been confirmed. The H&M campaign marks Williamson’s modeling debut, according to his business partner Joseph Velosa, and the designer will appear in the H&M TV ads as well. Williamson’s men’s and women’s collections for H&M bow in April. (wwd)

This spring, iconic styles from past collections meet with radiant colors from current runway looks to form a limited edition womenswear collection designed by Matthew Williamson for H&M . Set to debut on April 23, approximately 200 H&M store locations worldwide will offer his radiant and colorful collection filled with "eclectic" prints inspired by the "savvy world traveler". The Matthew Williamson Spring 09 collection for H&M will offer key pieces such as dresses, tops, and jump suits. “Color is a major element in defining my signature style,” says Williamson. “I took inspiration from a peacock motif, as seen in my collections, to develop a palette of blues, chartreuse, and emerald. The spirit of the collection is both desirable and precious.” (blackbook)

the jumpsuits sound good!

can't wait to see it too. I don't like so much him ethnic style but everything turns amazing when it goes cheaper, lol. That isn't exactly what I wanted to say, actually I believe that any clothes by a famous designer for H&M will be the most essential pieces about the style of such designer. Then I'm sure I'm gonna love what I'm gonna see from him.

I hope he's put some effort into the men's line as it's often compromised when designers collaborate with H&M.
