I can't explain why, but this collection is giving me so much John Galliano nostalgia.

Wow, this collection is perfect Everything they do is awesome, and I can never get enough of it. A lot better than last season, and it's very John Galliano crossed with 80's Christian Lacroix. Definitely in my top 5 of the season (so far)

It's making my heart ache for Lacroix.

(I'm thrilled with it.)

Yep, i see both Galliano and Lacroix references: over-the-top detail & luxe with a healthy dose of irony.

Very costumey for my taste, However, the detail look did show how delicate this collection was.

I'm loving the stays and all the general baroque vibe. Although, I don't think the clothing fits the models properly. It would be better in someone like Ashley Smith or Lara Stone... if you know what I mean.

definitely getting the lacroix vibe. it's enough of that baroque kitschiness that would make edina monsoon very happy.

but is it great? is it relevant? i can't say that i'm terribly bowled over by it. i miss that element of quiet intelligence they used to do. and to be honest,it mostly looks very showy than having a sense of range. i think the only thing i see that looks remotely translatable are those mutton sleeve jackets but we've seen that before...

In places, particularly the first three looks, it's like Galliano-ised Lolita Cosplay - as in Harajuku?

I find the Lolita Cosplay look tricky for stylists especially if attempting to fuse with another vibe. This is fairly well done though.
