I've always loved these, but when I recently got the 60th Anniversary book, Dior, they have great shots of these two dresses and you can see the details so beautifully, and I just stare at them all day! I just leave the book open to that page! I'd scan it if I could, but I'm afraid the book would break my scanner!...it's that heavy!

Dior Haute Couture FW 05 (the one on Ekaterina is called the Dolly dress, and the one on Raquel is called the Nancy dress) I think the black lace over the nude is so dynamite, and I love the padded hips SO much! And the passimenterie and embroidery details on both dresses are so stunning!

I haven't had many agree with me on this, but I think this gown is pretty much the definition of glamour:

I think red is such a bold statement, and bold could be interpreted as 'glamorous' in certain cases, so I see what you're saying.

i think i saw the one on ekaterina in that "fashion show" exposition from Galliera Museum that was brought to barcelona last summer!! absolutly amazing!!
what was even greater is that they had the dress from the couture show, next to a same-style one from the rtw show, and then another one that would be the "boutique" version so that you could see the differences on how an idea from couture is translated to rtw an then to what consumers will buy! just gorgeous!!
