I feel like Karl lost his magic touch in some of the dresses. I'm a big fan of his designs but these past few seasons, his collection would always include a dress or even dresses that falls/fall into "hideous" category. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the execution by his staff but it's pretty apparent that there is a disconnect between his vision and some of the dresses in his collection.

I think that he just 'buried' Coco. Because honestly, IMHO, Coco Chanel is now respected because of Lagerfeld - she was totally destroyed and although she was revolutionary back in her time, after the WW2 she was socially and fashion-wise dead. And now it seems he broke free from what Coco did and he's a bit crazier than before, not so stand-offish and boring, as Coco used to be. And I like it - the Resort 2013 is one of the best Chanel collections I've seen so far.

^Out of all the Prada dresses in the world, you think these belong in the most hideous thread? IDK, I think the first two look like ordinary BCBG dresses. Nothing great, but nothing horrifying.
