this is a sweatshirt, and a ugly one aswell. it's not a luxurious material, it's viscose. it has an ugly cheap-looking print on. It might be givenchy but it looks like something you could find at walmart.
^ What? Don't you see how innovative, refined and ingenious this sweatshirt is? High quality viscose, it's like the the new silk for 2011.

It's the effing ugliest thing I've ever seen today. Besides it looks horribly unflattering regardless of the print and material, even more bulky than on runway.
Anyhow, it might be a bit more in other stores than the 1019 EUR since LVR has kinda low prices on everything. Mostly.
i really hope with the arrival of Rousteing there will be no more slashing and pins! I never would have spent anything on Decarin's Balmain (i detested his aesthetic) but judging from the new Resort collection, The prices may stay the same but Balmain's reasoning behind the prices may be better!
An the Problem with Proenza and Rodarte's prices are that they are new Brands, and their clothes really are ingenious. All that work and hooks and eyes and ruffling and dying and technique that was in the Proenza Spring 2010 collection...impeccable.
Its the people like Dolce and Gabbana that charge $200 for a white vest top, Thats ridiculous.

The top designers seem to be gambling with these ridiculously priced novelty items lately, what with Tisci and his panthers and Miucca and her stoles.
Tisci and Miucca are offering items that are fun and humorous but are strictly seasonal and would appear incredibly passé if you were to wear it next season. Lagerfeld has done it so much that novelties have become a Chanel trademark. His appear to be more practically-based, like ankle purses and locket rings, and though they are also seasonal, there'd be less of an uproar if you wore them again next year.
The designers are saying 'Buy this now before everyone else has it!' and of course you have to buy it.
A thousand fashionistas across the world will be snapping these instantly-recognizeable pieces up and rushing out of the house wearing them, thinking that they'll sashay onto Madison and people will admire their discreetly extremely-Givenchy top, with the thought that only the House owns another.
Do they realise that, to people in-the-know, they may as well be wearing a jumper speckled with the recurring pattern of 'LV' logos? That is the enormity of the statement being made by these novelty pieces for the House.
The highest priced Prada Pailette Dress is $13,010. I would much rather pay that kind of money for something truly special looking that doesn't look cheap like the Balenciaga net dresses.
