^The higher the floor, the higher the price tag.

Is it fair to say that Celine is a very respectfully priced house? I feel like you can't argue the value of their accessories nor RTW....it's just worth every single penny....depending on what it is anyway.

I still think Proenza is overpriced!

^ Yes I've always thought that about Proenza Schouler. I do like their clothes but the price points just don't seem to fit with either where their brand sits or generally with the quality either.

The mink and leather patchwork sweater is selling for close to $10k, maybe USD8K. But its awesome. Céline has one of the best finishing and fabrics in the industry. Worth every penny. But personally, it think french houses do have the right to charge exorbitant price if the workmanship and the duration of making it counts too. Sometimes, the higher the price, the more lucrative the rtw is. Chanel to me is overpriced. But customers still buy. Look at Balmain.

I would definitely call Hermes overpriced (1000€ for a passport wallet, I know the quality is next level but the prices are still higher than they should).
But that x64 is a lie. x9-11 would be more likely (but still high), french production and leather are very expensive.

I remember an article about Nike and other mainstream companies, who produce their shoes at 6€ and sell them at 120€ but yet have only 20€ net profit from one disposal because production costs don't include general expenses like adverisement, research and development which are the most expensive of all. So it's usually it seems to be x10-20.

If Hermes birking bag was x64, the production cost for the most reasonable Birkin editon ($5000) would be $78 at which is not realistic, I think.
