Naomi Campbell’s Fashion Line

Naomi Campbell is planning to launch a fashion line.
The Streatham born supermodel is teaming up with designer Christopher Kane to design the signature collection.
Kane is one of the hottest designers in the fashion industry at the moment. He has been compared to fellow British designers John Galliano and Alexander Mc Queen for his sharp quirky designs.
He has also designed a successful one off capsule range for high street store Topshop.
A source told the Mail he has already met with Campbell and is trying to fit the new project into his busy schedule.

"Naomi makes regular visits to his Dalston studio and they meet up in London on a monthly basis to discuss the project."
"Christopher is just working out his schedule to see if he can do it."

This will be interesting, Kane is relatively new, but he's already a master with chiffon and lace...I do think this will allow him to get his name out there to those who aren't already familiar as well

I'm really interested in seeing where this goes. I know that Christopher Kane is kind of a new designer, but I really like what I've seen and I think that he has a lot of potential. I think that we're all curious about Naomi's role in the collaboration: if she's going to be a muse that gives her seal of approval or if she's going to design some of the pieces.

i don't know-- naomi starts a lot of projects...
but they never seem to ammount to anything...
i think she usually winds up getting into some sort of dispute with everyone eventually....

you can see that kane isn't committing to anything yet...

I actually really like Kane. But I can think of a dozen supermodels that have better taste in fashion than Campbell.

It seems like a match made in heaven but who knows. I'm interested to see what comes from this. Naomi's glamazon body is one of the few that can pull off Kane's Alaia-esque dresses.

That might be true, BUT I have yet to see anything really stunning made by Kane, and I don't think Naomi's in this for creativity or for clothes.
