New York Fashion Week Open To Public

For the first time ever, consumers will have the ability to buy tickets to the runway shows in New York - which start September 5! Up until now, the shows have been invitation-only for the press, buyers, and guests of sponsors.
The tickets are now available to holders of American Express Gold, Platinum, and Centurion cards on AmericanExpress.com, and allow the purchasers to watch the shows from a Skybox-like hospitality suite, complete with food and drink. One show will cost $100, while a two-show package will go for $200. Dang.
American Express is offering just 450 packages, so if you're interested, don't wait too long to act!

Ahhahaha very funny!

Well, here in Brazil I used to just ask for someone that will see the shows if they have one ticket to give and they help me to get inside the build... in NY case; inside the tents. It's simple, all the things u need to do its ask about it!

But buy one for 200 dollars its to much expansive!!

And tell me why 200 dollars? I think that 20 / 30 its ok

WOW that's just weird
If you aren't invited why would you go to a 12-minute fashionshow that's intended for the people of the industry...

OK, so maybe students don't always get allowed, but 200$?? I can't think of why someone would pay that amount of money for a show

LOL TOTAL RIP-OFF

I know it's lame and all, but I would so do that if I really loved the designer. Although I would feel very out of place, paying for the ticket while everyone else was invited.

Albiet expensive, I don't see what's so wrong with this. Most of us are waiting at our computers to see new photos of the collections, so why wouldn't you want to see it in person if possible?

Yea, they should sell out very quick.

doesn't that just ruin all the exclusivity for fashion people? and c'mon, 100 is not that much, really not...

^ I think it's a HUGE amount of money. When you go a to a theatre you pay 100 dollars and then you are entertained for a whole night. This takes 15 minutes and is not that exciting from a skybox at all. Ridiculous....
