very uncharacteristic of you miss softgrey,
you are always elegant and dignified in your comments.

but i guess we all have imperfections ...........

the calendar is still early.
so there will naturally be a lot of missing names (we still have five weeks left)
i am going to register my show today,
i will post the copy i get of Ruth Finleys calendar tonight.
yess.... i decided to show, the collection is halfway done and the pull is toooooo great not to show it.
hopefully i will have a good turnout this season...........
iwas really disappointed the last time around
i guess im just a talented sucker who can't help himself................

It is interesting to see Karen Walker showing, but she seems to sell in alot of stores in America.

I wonder about Rodarte and Boudicca, may be they are going to Paris.

Tennis, Anyone?

The inside scoop behind Doo-Ri's show time slot

Thursday, August 03, 2006

(NEW YORK) Designer Doo-Ri Chung is fast getting famous for her sportswear, but ironically, a new rumor suggests an actual sport may have snagged her Fashion Week plans.

New York Fashion Week typically runs up against the U.S. Open, and Anna Wintour, one of the designer’s earliest pioneers, happens to be a tennis aficionado. She attended last year’s games with daughter Bee Shaffer and Oscar de la Renta, and is likely to repeat her courtside visit this year.

And how does that relate to Doo-Ri? According to insiders, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist planned to show in the Tents on Sunday, September 10—until she learned it fell on the same day as the U.S. Open’s men’s finals. Reportedly, Chung switched her show date to the following Friday, at 6pm, to accommodate her high profile supporter.

Though Doo-Ri’s current slot comes at the end of Olympus Fashion Week, her fans—including Glenda Bailey and Candy Pratts Price—will*undoubtedly turn out in full force to support the overachieving Jersey girl, and her trademark (and gorgeous) jersey dresses.

L.A.M.B ? Crazy...it didn't go amazing last time. Like generally for a new designer as she is, I am sure it was huge but the response was just so-so.

what do you think "the look" will be on the catwalks this season upcoming? I feel like fashion has been getting stronger, and edgier...in relation to few seasons ago when everything was very "babyface". Is it just me? What u think

I hope she really puts out this season (Doo Ri). She's getting so much attention and a lot of oppurtunity, if only she make a knockout collection.
