alexa adams and flora gill - alexa's previously worked at helmut lang as design director of the womenswear line (in the time he was showing in paris again), whereas flora is a knitwear specialist. they have studied together in parsons new york and re-united at karl lagerfeld, when he was operating a design studio in new york, headed by melanie ward.

yet another beautiful collection by ohne titel - am liking the more restrained, moody colour palette and the layered knit pieces and embellished stuff in particular - i could see these pieces working well in almost any wardrobe, at any time... a quality very much inherent also to the stuff helmut lang himself and rick owens are doing. i guess there is a lot more going on in the pieces, you can hardly see that in the images because of the dark colour and monochrome outfits.

My breath isn't taken, but I like the jackets that have the sort of biker jacket feel to them with the side zip.
Nice.

tricotneacetat, thanks for the history, and kikkokiddo, thanks for taking the time to post pictures of this collection.

i wasnt familiar with these women but will be much more aware of their talent in the future. i love all the tops and jackets. what they do with leather and zippers and diagonal lines is fantastic.

it's actually quite amazing what these two can do with knitwear, weather it's draped or almost 'tailored', there is a lot of intricacy in the construction of the pieces... hence the reason why they do quite small collections per season. it's also nice that even though you could maybe see helmut in a couple of these pieces, the difference is that whereas lang would have many seperate pieces layered to form one look, here it's mostly one piece with intricate, multilayered contruction.

If the person who uploaded the images would pick scale to 180px, it will make it more like this.

Although the pieces seem great, there does not really seem to be a strong identity here... if customers like this look would they not already go for a more established brand like Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann et al?
