I didn't like the final dresses (those ballgowns >.<) but it was BEAUTIFUL. I definitely see Galliano's influence here. ODlR would never have put those hats in there in the beginning. While I don't think that John would be a good successor to ODlR (Oscar's old ladies don't mix with Galliano's style) I think this was an excellent blend between these two.

I do wish it was a little more cohesive in styling, but I really enjoyed it. You could tell which gowns Galliano had a hand in and which ones Oscar did because Oscar's looked too embroidered

(I don't want to be that kind of person, but I wonder if people's reactions would have been the same if they didn't knew Galliano had a hand in this.)

It's really hit or miss for me. It's a collection of segments, in a way. It starts out nicely enough with practical, elegant daywear; then it starts to go downhill from the capes onward. The lace dress on Ginta brings it back to good until the slinky evening gowns (best part of the show for me; they're excellent), then it gains volume and it's down again. There's indeed a lot of Galliano in this, the languid shapes and fluid silk/lace dresses are very much his style. Certainly more hits than misses here. It's a mixed bag and could've been more tightly edited, but it's a very nice collection. Nothing sensational, but it works on most aspects.

Some of those snakeskin belts really reminded me of Dior Couture Spring 2011, even the shapes of some of those earlier looks and their respective jackets. You can totally see John's hand in this. The make-up and hair, the dress on Jessica Stam, those hooded cloaks--they all scream John! Such a beautiful collection. I always love what OdlR does anyway, John just enhances it!

I was honestly skeptical at how this would all pan out, but I'm pleasantly surprised. As others have mentioned, you can definitely pinpoint which looks had Galliano's influence in them. The overall look of the hat, gloves and bias-cut dresses kind of takes me back to John's Spring/Summer 1989 show.

That said, the gratuitous OdlR ballgowns that closed out the show had no effect on me, as per usual (personally, just not my cup of tea).

Surprisingly, I really love this. Not too sold on the gowns at the end - but I really like everything as a whole.

I didn't really like this at first, but since then I've viewed the collection more ~thoroughly, and now I love it. You can definitely spot Galliano's influence.

not really feeling the gowns on Magdalena and Karlie though.

That dress on Cat is a masterpiece. If I was a celebrity I would be finding out how to get my hands on it for the red carpet asap.

Not all that astounding. Some pieces were downright ugly but a couple were lovely. Still excited to see how this relationship pans out.
