I bet they think that it's so edgy and fresh and the Millenials will be buying that ugly denim but it's so irrelevant, just like this whole collection actually. I thought they would be great since they have been working for de la Renta for some time before and if this resort is all they can do, then they should be replaced ASAP. Even the silhouettes are wrong...

Maybe too modern and too on trend. I miss the slightly dated feeling of ODLR. It was sometimes dated but very timeless.
I miss the sassiness and the joy. This could have been designed by anybody.
Juan Carlos Obando could do wonders for ODLR.

^^
I was thinking of Alessandra Facchinetti as well, she would be perfect for putting a youthful spin (which this pair is attempting) but still keeping the old school elegance.

I appreciate what that they're trying to broaden OLDR's audience, but this is not the way to go. They're evening wear is spectacular though, and the highlight of their tenure so far!

Facchinetti is too European IMO for ODLR. What made ODLR special was the Dominican-American-European tension.
Facchinetti is good for Armani. She could do wonders for the brand and the Privé line will take another dimension with her.

I still don't understand how they're tanking so hard at ODLR. I mean, they worked for so many years at the brand, their Monse is so fresh and playful and quirky... and yet their first collection for ODLR was such a non-entity, and this just alternates between "old lady", "old lady trying to be hip" and "old lady trying to be a Raf Simons girl". It's so puzzling to me...
