I love A.P.C. in general but this collection is a bit weak. Especially since the past two seasons were really lovely. I was hoping for some good boots and a nice coat but there's nothing like that really...

yes, where are the lovely boots and coats?!

It is like the past seasons, but that's why I love it. It's really a simple look, very smart. I even love the guy's looks, the sweaters could easily be worn by women.

Valentine is fantastic.

I went to the store today and there were very nice pieces there..better than the website...I'm also excited because they are going to have a fall/winter madras collection for the first time

Do you know who the model was for the last collection? All of the sudden I am seeing her everywhere.

Could you describe the vibe of the pieces in the store? I am so curious, hopefully creatures of comfort will get some of the stuff that isn't on the website. Were there any boots?

I like it..nice quality basics. I bought the womens black pants (second picture) and everyone was complementing me on them... They also fit like a glove

This stuff does look a lot like last season's, but still good.

I'm hoping to catch some of these items on sale (the black smocked dress, the knit cap).

But you have to be so quick to get the online A.P.C. sale. We're talking a few hours after they send out the email, all the good stuff is gone. Although now with the store in LA, they have their own supply, but no returns if you order by phone through them.

Anyway, I'm in a winter frame of mind, and these things are right up my alley.

h&m is wannabe...
apc is the real thing...

the quality and fit are on a different level...

ie- the armholes and bodies at apc are much higher and more narrow...
it's just more 'chic'...

i agree with the statement that it looks like previous collections...
but they looked good so why fix something that isn't broken...?
also- there is a lot more really amazing stuff in stores...
much more so than other seasons....which is cool...
and i also agree that gap should take a cue...
these are def modern classics...which gap should be...

*prices are a bit higher- but i think that has to do with it being fall as opposed to summer, no?

I'm not finding the quality as convincing this season. I really loved the snake skin wood wedges until I saw them in person. Maybe I am just used to my Chloes, but they felt really flimsy and light...I expect better from A.P.C., especially for nearly $500.

But I do agree that there is nearly always much better stuff in the stores, especially during transitional periods--I never really buy anything that I see in the catalogue.
