I agree 20s/60s. The skullcap things evoked cloches or early aviation.

The roomy big buttoned swingcoats felt mid 60's, a bit Jackie O.

There was a strong scent of Modernism particularly in the kilt fronted tunics with the Mondrianesque graphic which on first impressions I felt might have been the strongest section.

The show started off quietly and built, the skull caps eventually electrifying into wigs with the discoball gold and orange shine section which could either read mid 60's futurism, a bit Courreges inspired perhaps; or somewhere in glamrock or disco 70's territory or all three.

Despite being able to retro reference it, the collection did read fairly otherworldy, strangely futuristic throughout.

I felt a nice play on minimalism early on with the pieces quite stark yet functional embellishments ie buttons or collars were oversized creating a dizzying play on proportion.

As someone else observed, from the rear a few of the tunic dresses appeared to swing away and stand out from the back as if oversized there.

Definitely one to view again

I love this collection! One of my favorites from Prada.
The coats in the first half are absolutely amazing. Best outfit is the one on Mariacarla Boscono!
I am in love with those artistic shoes.

Specially with those scales, they are ubber vintage, and has a modern impact as well. Taking too much retro details can lead into nothing new. The only thing that makes it Prada are bits here and there of quirky that this season to me is just plain weird-and not in a good way- although scales are always exciting..

Its the usual modern+crafty Prada look ... I dig it .. I love how the pattern is so geometric and the use of texture the on ways that only Miuccia can do ...

Who told the models to hold the bags like that? It seems SO weird!

Some of the heels from the shoes are soo phallic they made me blush .. and it is very sexy (for Prada) dont you think?

I can't say I appreciated a lot of aspects of this collection:
The fake belts that trapped in the side seams, though I love how they leave the back sack-like I thought they looked naff the way they moved with the rest of the dress.
The large plastic buttons were cute but looked somewhat cheap.
The fake fur applied to the front of the coats and dresses.

But I did think this collection was beautiful.
How the snake print evolved into transparent plastic snake scales, the boots that were designed to appear like shoes worn with socks, the scull-caps in leather and fur, the beautiful super-lightweight blouse-dresses..
It was all beautiful.

This has to be the most wearable Prada collection overall in a while. My favorite collection in Milan so far.

I'm not sure, I never really like Prada but maybe the coats are the only good thing about this collection, the shoeboots are aweful aweful aweful!!!
