and this is only the second time they present a cruise collection..
sorry to have probably made a rather instructive impression before...

i pretty much agree with you on the points you have raised... it's quite unusual to deliver big shifts of silhouette in a pre collection also... and then, i don't even see these designs as being particularly representative of their past work - but maybe it's a good thing they left their one signature design - those bustier tops and dresses - back home...

proenza and the above dont go, no matter what. it is not even remotely close to their original structured clothing.
i am sure there are some sellable pieces there but overall cruise is about making that extra money where the main collection doesnt make it. this is overly poor and not pulled together... its a mess and not in a good way if you ask me...

This is very studen't work of them. I feel like these looks should have been edited and maybe fixed. The pants would be cool if they didn't have the overlap. Harem pants are a VERY difficult thing to execute well. Especially when placing a model in a closed leg pose, maybe if the models would have taken an open leg stance we might be able to see the movement and beauty hidden beneath the flap that cascades upward from ankle to iliac crest. It's confusing to me. Like the answer a rhetorical question. Overall needs refinement and more of a focus on presentation.

Is it me or this Valentino take over has made PS worse? I'm not saying everything has been bad, but they have been taking risks that really haven't paid off.

Some of the individual pieces look okay, but on the whole it all just looks very frumpy. Especially for a cruise season collection!
