i just popped in out of interested, and was really pleased to see the preview photos.
the bustiers looks very good, and considering that their regular-priced ones are a gajillion dollars, it's a nice little thing

i bet they will officially anounce this the day that V+R for H&M come out.
last year, they announced luella for target the same week that mccartney's line for H&M comes out...

this certainly does seem true to the PS aesthetic. there's a mainline PS polo shirt on ebay now that looks EXACTLY like the target one. and i'm glad they are keeping the bustiers as well.

i also agree about the bustiers... i've always loved them and see them as a sort of proenza schouler staple..

i would love to get my hands on one, and since i don't have a gajillion dollars to spare (as pastry also mentioned ) this should be a nice way to get some access to that

thanks for posting the photos, fashionologie. i LOVE the trapeze dress. the other pieces look equally appealing to me. i'm sooo excited about this!!!

thank goodness, i'm feeling excited about this line as i wasn't too keen on the behnaz sarafpour line for some reason even though i like a few items. too holidayish, i guess.

it's a pleasant surprise i agree

i wonder if they also have to 'down-play' their designs. it's very easy to make beautiful designs with just perfect combos of colours and things, even with cheaper materials. i suppose they wouldn't want to make it as beautiful as their own collection

Aw, is it just womenswear? I know Proenza's main line is only womenswear.. how unfair for the guys

OHHHHH That Could Be Hell OF Risky for proenza schouler they arent established enough to be doing stuff like this. I hope they dont end up like Luella Bartley plus Target cant be H&M & Zara it just wont work they are starting to become the evil discount monster in the fashion industry. Also a Target customer has no idea who proenza schouler even is.

i think luella's doing reasonably well in the UK. she has a new makeup line coming out soon.

i dont think its fair to castigate target consumers.

target was the first in the US to do these designer collaborations years before H&M.

I agree, I don't think you can downgrade the appeal of a Target consumer, especially along the east and west coasts. I personally do not have much respect for H&M and Zara (unless I am shopping in their stores in the EU), probably because of the bad experiences I have had at their US stores. However, I think Target consumers are sophisticated and can be fashion forward. There is a reason that many people will buy clothes at Target and NOT at Wal-Mart (I won't even step foot in a Walmart). I think the whole point of the Go International line is to introduce consumers to lines that they may have heard or read about, but are not available at all (despite the price tag) in their market. That is just my opinion.

I can't wait for Dec. 31!!!!!!!

we dont even know if the line will be coming out in december 31. the janemag reference said "for spring". i hope we dont have to wait that long.

zara doubles and triples their prices for items in the USA as compared the EU so i have less respect for them. they could do big business here but decide not to.

target has a much better record with factory compliance than walmart ever would.
