AHHA they are designing for the olsen twins next episode. Or something with the olsen twins. Unbelievable, considering they (twins) are so private.

Well, not all couture is meant for the red carpet. I dont think Jeffrey was designing for the red carpet anyway...

I actually loved Kayne's outfit and hated Jeffrey's. I was so happy that Vincent was let go. ANd, his *** kissing was the worst.

i did like jeffrey's dress, that was real couture! something galliano would have probably done. i don't believe the dress would make the worst dressed list if worn right! dont' get me wrong jeffrey is a total *******, but he's a talented designer. I feel like his inspirations are Rei Kawakubo (esp. her past SS 06 collection with all the plaid) and Dior HC by Galliano, as i was saying.
Vincent's dress was just..... bbbbbbbbbbbaaaad!!!!! Horrible should I say.
Laura's i didn't hate as much as the judges did, Armani Privé's got something that always looks like that... not a fan of AP, btw.
Uli's dress i didn't like (and i usually like her). it was a little tamed down Elie Saab (whom i do NOT like)
I actually DID like Kayne's dress, i didn't get all the criticism it received. I did like gold, and i did like the sheer skirt part. The colors were quite interesting, predictably matching, but interesting nonetheless.
Michael's dress was just poorly done, reminded me of that whole Napoleonic Dolce&Gabbana (ridiculous, btw) F/W 06/07 collection.... only cheaper and amateurishly done!!!!

I dont think so, cause they'd never let that leak. Shes probably mocking who they're making a dress for.

Anyways.

Im glad Vincent is gone.

i think, jeffrey did an amazing job given the limited time. considering most couture dresses take hundreds of hours to construct.
papercut, i agree noone even came close to jeffrey. this was a chance for the designers to show off their creativity. except for jeffrey, all failed miserably! boring.

Jeffrey's was the only one that seemed close to actual couture.

And can we please keep the models in Paris? Please? Those girls could actually walk. But Jeffrey's NY model really did work that dress. She almost makes me want to go find her in the other episodes and figure out how I could have completely overlooked her.

Did you guys see the sign on one of the work tables in the back of one of the scenes? It said something like "caution: fleurchon making in progress", or something like that...

hahaha I agree, Jeffrey's model really came out of her shell with that dress. And she really made it shine. I think that helped in the decision as well...

Good catch with the sign... I tivoed it so I will check it out and see what it says.

The only two dresses I really disliked were Vincent's and Michaels. Vincent's dress was just BAD, boring and poorly made. Michael might've had the right idea, but like someone said, the execusion was bad. You could actually see it.

Laura's dress, I kinda liked. It wasn't like OMG, the best, but especially in Paris with the white collar working they way she planned it to, I thought it wsa kind of elegant.

I didn't really love any dress either, but Jeffrey's, Kayne's and Uli's creates were all pretty good. I don't understand why they were hating on Kayne's dress. For couture, I didn't think it was over the top. I liked it, everything from top to bottom. Jeffrey's dress was nice and creative, original and gutsy, but it almost didn't feel fit for the occasion. Uli's dress, again was nice and pretty, but kind of nothing special at the same time.

No doubt his did look like couture. I agree with you there, its just the choice of fabric and how messy it looked really was NOT esthetically (sp?) pleasing!!

minute 24, right after Uli talks about Vincent's dress looking like a sofa, when they're showing a closeup of Michael sewing, it's in the background...

I don't know why the judges keep picking on poor Kayne.....I loved his dress! It was beautiful! Poor Kayne gets no respect.

I thought the fabric Jeffrey used was lovely...but his dress was horrendous! It was just a bunch of fabric thrown onto the basic form of a dress. I thought it looked like a mess of yellow plaid; it seems very overrated.

And ugh, Uli's dress....I think she's adorable, I really like her but she doesn't seem to do anything special. Her dress looked like something Santino made for Nicky Hilton. I think I've seen that type of dress on a million different celebrities, nothing original or attractive about it. And the color was very dull. Plus I hate those ropey things....why the heck do designers put those god-awful ropey things on dresses?!

Is it me or do all of Laura's dresses look exactly alike? They're beautiful but they're all the same!
