Love his work from the very beginning despite the saying that his stuff is too similar to whose and whose and whose......

I'd usually like his designs but this is too much of a one-note and far too repetitious. A few stunning pieces, love those banded leggings and patent patches, but how does anyone wear this out in 35C weather??? I do think that weather is a crucial component to the design, otherwise, having "Fashion Seasons" is rather meaningless.

This collection was fantastic. Provocative- bold, exhilarating. The casting, the space, the clothes- everything was perfectly executed and really heightened- this collection was taken to another level. The details were what really did it for me and unfortunately you can't see them in the wwd images. It challenged the concept of seasonal dressing.

It is really solid, a bit more streamlined than his previous works..I like the different textures that make the all black really works. I wish he'd explore more with silhouettes and proportions. Nonetheless, I like where he's going with this and excited for his talent. He should be doing Helmut Lang imo

Thank you for posting, Inaya and kahlilg

^ wow kiddo! So weird, yesterday I was looking at the HL SS09 collection and frowning, as usual since HL himself left. I was thinking, who would be a better candidate to breathe new life into the brand and get it back on it's feet and I agree, Hourani would probably do a good job... it'd be interesting to see his take on HL's vision!

And I also agree about this collection - unlike many others, I'm not bothered in the least that it's in a similar vein to past collections. I like when a designer sticks to and works and perfects their aesthetic. it shows integrity and a true vision, rather than one that shifts with each trend. This SS09 collection I think is really great, sure it's similar but it's so different on the same token. It's much more refined, with many subtle details (that I can't wait to see in HQ!)

I attended the show and loved it. Rad's clothes are so severe. It is very refreshing to see him showing in NYC within the mix of all the other NY designers who IMO are so safe and not too edgy. The space and casting was great! A very calm atmosphere and professional. I have been following this designers work and yes I do like his past collections more so but this was a strong showing. I would love to wear every piece myself.
