Don't forget to source your pictures as per tFS Guidelines, Georg, otherwise they will have to be removed.

I was afraid of this...

The NYTimes.com review
Quote:
Raf Simons held his show at twilight, on a beautiful terrace overlooking a garden. Four or five dark suits opened the show, identical to ones he presented last season. So he was continuing the tailoring story. I’ll have more to say about the collection tomorrow, but Simons is really holding a separate conversation here. He focused on silhouette (all about the belted waist and shoulders), beautiful fabrics, a sophisticated taste level and an extraordinary sense of military-like precision. All elements you don’t find elsewhere.

sigh. i'm disappointed but i definitely dont hate it. i love the silhouette of the blazers, how the shoulders are cut off and come into this exaggerated shape into the rolled up sleeves. he's really deconstructing the blazer.. i would be interesting for him to do it to pants, see the different shapes he can form out of that.

all and all i like it but i miss the youthfulness of his previous collections. even last summers collection had a sophistication to it yet it was still young and fresh. perhaps the raf simons boy is growing up.. raf is going somewhere new and he's definitely experimenting..

oh! i seriously thought that snake pattern was painted on lol but its only a completely sheer shirt!

yes! this is what i've been waiting for. raf is the only mens wear designer that truly gets me excited.

at the beginning i was worried it would be a dull show. but by the end i'm happy. i actually like the use of the snakes and belt placements. it would have been nice to see the snake print on a white button up shirt though.

LOVE IT ok that might be the minimalist in me saying it but I am digging the belts the world needs this kind of clothes I feel that elegance and the importance of tailoring is disappearing but this totally has it. Ive been waiting all day for this show.

My my the shoulder, the waist A continued exploration from FW but much more believable this time around. I do wonder if the clothes will come with belts like that or is it just a styling trick?
