Yeah, atleast Karl only has Chanel couture, Marc has none and Tom Ford too. Being head in two houses with couture lines is just too much.

I feel like Riccardo is much more involved with design at Givenchy than the other designers mentioned. Marc has plenty of help at both his own house and at Louis Vuitton, and let's face it, the lines sometimes can look pretty similar anyway. Tom was creative director at both YSL and Gucci, but he wasn't entrenched in the actual design, so he was able to work much, much differently. John apparently didn't do much at Dior by the end of his tenure, so he could concentrate on his own house. And Karl, on the other hand, might be designing and fitting daily with Chanel, but at the end of the day, he seems to design Fendi from afar and is able to show them a series of sketches and have the atelier bring those ideas to fruition without much extra work.

Yes, you have to remember that now, Givenchy and Dior are both strong haute couture houses and I already believe Tisci is so involved in the process of haute couture that his PAP comes off lacking lately. So imagine how designing two haute couture (if he could even do that) would do to the PAP ? And more importantly, what would it do to Tisci ?

If I read one more news article or blog post saying Tisci at Dior is confirmed just because some idiots on Twitter say so... The latest rumours say Tsici for Dior, Haider for Givenchy and Carine and Slimane for YSL

But I'm actually warming up to the idea of Tisci designing for Dior. I think he could do great things for the house and it could definitely be interesting.

Im all for Tisci at Dior as long as he doesn't leave Givenchy. Givenchy is now too good to be left behind.

Could this be about Tisci, Dior and an eponymous menswear line?

And then there's the hiss about that certain designer rumored to be ascending to that high throne of luxury labels very soon. Rumors are rife that the deal would entail a menswear line under his own name complete with ultra-luxe production values and a stand-alone store. Well the men's market certainly does need the excitement!

^ I think that interview alone confirms his appointment to Dior. If he wasn't taking over, why would he not comment? He would have simply dispelled those rumors.

When exactly did Tisci start his own line? I always read it was shortly before he became creative director at Givenchy in 2004 but when scanning this old ed from 2002 I noticed this gorgeous dress is credited as being a "Riccardo Tisci" dress.

I think that he became creative director in 2005 and had his own line for a little more than one year.

But maybe that dress is from his graduation collection? (he graduated in 1999)
