Finally, a show worthy of a second look from this terrible and lacklustre season. Gorgeous silhouettes and outwears. This feels more Balenciaga than Balenciaga does itself.

Ooooh!!!! I absolutely love it! There's something very Hitchcockian (a trend we're witnessing this season, maybe?) about this, what with the glamorous red lip. I also love the puff sleeves at the end of the show.

This is insane. So beautiful! So courageous! I am so thrilled with this collection. Finally, something interesting to look at this season. And you're right. Definitely Hitchcock-y.

what a puzzling departure from the established rick owens aesthetic. while the mid-section of this runway show held many of the tried-and-true rick owens basics, some of those opening looks felt unconvincing. and while i particularly enjoyed the long leather skirts at the end, this show felt a bit unfocused when it came to his idea for how women should approach dressing the top half of their bodies.

I believe I can fly:
vogue.it, copied from up above. Made me feel good, this interesting shoulder, these serene colours. Hmm. Different. The covered heads, well, we know who inspired those. |

My comment got deleted too, with the previous thread.
I am SO THRILLED he's departing from the typical Rick Owens look and venturing into new territory with all skirts, volume and layers, with this looser, easier, even graceful but still minimal collection. The gorgeous leather collage jackets have a hint of Balenciaga but retain the Rick Owens ascetic touch and impeccable tailoring. This is a beautiful and highly desirable collection. ![]() |
