Alaia ? I get Mugler.. in the two pieces.. the way the tight skirt and the jackets with the stiff looking volumn at the bottom come together.

A bit of a strange palette for winter.. the pastel'ish yellow and peachy pink.

Still in love with his sexy 40s ladylike pieces.

I love his cutting concept, he does it like no other.

i always like to see what he comes up with
is that all the pictures or were there any more looks?

i like that the garments sort of speak for themselves in terms of construction..
there are no major embellishments and i think it takes a lot of talent to produce a well made garment with a great fit and good tailoring like that..

looking forward to detail shots

How insane are the shoes? My goodness that heel could serve as a weapon.

RM storms Paris

Quote:
The long-sleeved, bottle green, wool dress clung to every pore, its keyhole neckline discreetly hinting at cleavage, its squared-off shoulder-line reinforcing the hourglass silhouette and the slanted pockets drawing the eye to the rounded hips.
As the model walked away, the long zip which snaked up the back seam, underscored the obvious: the dress looked sensational whichever way you looked at it. Victoria Beckham’s eyes gleamed. The dress was the opening design in Roland Mouret’s latest satellite collection, shown during the Paris haute couture season.
Mrs Beckham, a Mouret fan of long standing, sat alongside Dita Von Teese, both sporting Mouret dresses from the current collection. A few seats away sat Claudia Schiffer, similarly attired.
The way this son of a Rouen butcher cuts a dress has become shorthand for sexy; it is a look which is unmistakable from fifty yards. Feminine, alluring and womanly, it gives a curvaceous shape to the leanest beanpole and turns the voluptuous into sirens.
It all began with the ‘Galaxy’, the red carpet sensation of 2005, followed by The Titanium, which had a similar impact in 2006. The ‘Moon’ dress became the instant star of the winter collection which went on sale in November.
This new collection unfolded as a series of smart, sharp shocks. Grey flannel, beige tweed, steel grey ribbed wool and black slub stretch were all given the RM treatment, scissored into those cut-to-cling shapes, stamped with a neat collar or graphic ‘epaulettes’ here, a hip peplum or a deep V neckline there.
The details were sparse but stunning, nothing detracted from the concept of a pattern designed precisely to fit and flatter a woman. Then, when the dress fell straight to the floor, here was a super-sophisticated answer to dinner dressing - just add your favourite jewels. As an alternative to the dresses, there were coats and neat jackets, cut with the same unerring eye, which were paired with slim trousers or skirts.
In a slight departure, Mouret offered a slight 1930’s-40’s feel in primrose yellow and French boudoir-pink double crepe and in sapphire-blue silk crepe, where the bias-cut was more obvious and the neckline was softened by a waterfall collar or folded and draped seams, but the shape still retained RM’s signature flavour. And there was even an ivory silk embroidered cape which cascaded in slim ribbons around the upper body.
For next season - on sale in July from Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Browns and Net-a-porter.com- Mouret has eschewed the celestial references and instead named each of the dresses after a Paris metro station. But all are still stars.
Nevertheless, it is felt by insiders that Pigalle, a winter-white, wool cap-sleeved dress with square, pleated neckline and geometric hip and pocket detail, will be the one that shines the brightest.
