I do have faith in Cavalli, but not for the men collection though. I understand the concern that the whole collection can turn out to be veeery tacky, but let's hope he make some sexy evening dresses

I don't like Roberto Cavalli because his collections are always in the same line, always so obvious, you can avoid going to his runway and you still can guess what is going to be his vision of the season, because is always the same. I wouldn't expect anything from his H&M collection.

Hmm... in defense of Cavalli, it is very easy for a non-fan to brand him as "always the same", the same way someone can believe Yohji is "always the same, always the same black piles of fabric". If you actually follow Cavalli through the seasons, there is definitely an established vocabulary and point of view, but the direction and inspiration of the clothes always change. Take for example last fall's, twenties/oriental collection as opposed to this fall's forties/egyptian collection. He may not be constantly reinventing himself, but he is continually evolving.

^Marc's mens is definitley not the worst but I'd be a lot happier to see Lucas Ossendrijver do a men's line for H&M than Marc!

No really.. i dont want to sound like an a**.. but.. when was the last time everyone went to H&M.. 30% of the stuff in the store looks like MJ LOL! ALLLLL of the jackets at one point were knock off MJs LOL.. So why do you want him to do the line.. for the label MJ For HM? LMAO! Be serious.

Because if Marc has his name on it people won't feel like they are wearing "knock-offs" but I feel you. The last time I went my friend and I were pointing out all the YSL and Chloe knockoffs.

I totally understand what you mean, but regardless.. your still wearing a watered down version... your still paying for a cheaper garment.. why does it matter if it says Marc Jacobs? why not just buy the 29.90$ jacket that looks like a MJ. so your willing to pay 59.90$ if it was the same jacket with a MJ tag? The industry is sooo F'ed up LOL.

im not saying i wouldnt LOL.. im just as guilty.
