I'm not a Rodarte-fan but I must say this is job well done.

It's still very them, which is a relief -- I wasn't sure what to expect after their last show, but in a lot of ways this is even more commercial.

I'm not blown away by it, but it's good to see them evolve in a way that doesn't sacrifice their voice. Mostly, though, this leaves me excited to see what they end up doing next season when they take things a bit further, rather than thrilled about this season. You can see they're clearly on a journey, but it'd like to see them move a little further.

Also, I love the wheat.

Its gorgeous beyond belief, but I actually prefer their "tougher" looking collections to the romantic and soft collections. They always have the absolute best fabrics though, whoa

i agree. you know it kind of has a similar spirit as some of bernhard willhelm's earliest collections. not literally but certainly that culmination of traditional, simplistic almost kitschy sensibilities is very much in the way he worked then. the circle skirts, the tailoring(which is actually a refreshing change for them),the textures....

perhaps even a nice little nod to miguel adrover too?

and it's so nice to see them evolving. imo,as much as i did like what they did, they were beginning to get stuck in that mode. this to me shows a little more range.

Great continuitation from the last spring collection. This feels more grown up, much because it's more wearable. The dresses are just divine, and the colours are lovely.
Shoes are a huge let down though, wish they were more surreal and fairytale-esque like previous seasons.

surprisingly wearable collection from Rodarte this season!
Prairie/Almish chic done with a Dries Van Noten twist. Love the last two looks. Kudos to the sisters for another great collection!

I don't quite get those hay-print dresses, they have written Summer all over them.

As much as it's not (and never really was) my cup of tea, it's pretty nice to see them evolving season after season, even if the changes are that ground-breaking.

Love the red sequinned skirt on Lindsey!

I'm incredibly surprised to find that I completely love the dresses with the, is it grasses or wheat or such, print.

A gorgeous collection from them. A lot of the dresses have so much movement in them and the cuts on some of the hems are gorgeous. I love the kind of 'farm' and 'prairie' quality - the gowns that move from wheat to blue sky are gorgeous (and are just like where I'm from!).

You can see in the coats as well, a lot of them are cut to look like traditional farm or Amish aprons. The patterns are Shaker/Amish and the gown that was transparent and sequined was beautiful. I feel like the collection overall manages to achieve a rare balance between delicate or fragile and more hearty/rugged prairies. Gorgeous.
